The overseas contingent of our team arrived on Wednesday – Yulan Zhang and Xinsheng Gao from China, and Paul Mayefski and Daniel Dixon from the University of Maine (USA).
We had a meeting at the Antarctica New Zealand office to discuss details of the radar surveys of the glaciers. Our two most favoured sites are the Annette Plateau and Mount Hutton, and we will feel very satisfied even if we can just get good ice cores from these. For the last two days we have been busy with several media interviews for radio and newspapers and another round of buying food and equipment to add to already substantial load.
